Thank you from the UJIA

Dear Alan,

Thank you so much for being with us at ‘An Evening with Shabbaton Choir’.

I really hope you enjoyed the evening. It meant so much to have over 160 friends from across the community come to support Neil’s memory, the Ealing community and UJIA.

Together we have raised £20,000 for Carmiel Children’s Village.

The Village is the largest of Hamifal Educational Children’s Homes, which provide a warm and loving home to nearly 1,000 Israeli orphans and other neglected children at risk.

If you did not have the chance to donate and would like to, please click here.

You have seen and heard of the fantastic impact a gift to UJIA can make. If you were to consider a legacy to UJIA, you would be continuing to support vulnerable communities in Israel and strengthen British Jewry`s lifelong connection to Israel.

I also want to take the opportunity to thank our generous sponsors Barnett Alexander Conway Ingram solicitors and the Lodge of Endeavour for Norwood Ravenswood along with Shabbaton Choir for their support and a wonderful performance.

Thank you again for your support.

Warmest wishes,

Dawn Shestopal
Ealing UJIA Committee Co-chair

Tribute evening in honour of the late W. Bro. Neil Shestopal

Several Members of the Lodge attended the evening, which was held at Ealing Synagogue in the Neil Shestopal Hall. The evening was to honour Neil and raise Funds in support of the Carmiel Children's Village - a project which Neil and Dawn, following a visit to Israel, had brought to the notice of UJIA.

The evening was a great success - the Choir were joined by Rabbi Lionel Rosenfeld, Rabbi and Chazan of Western Marble Arch Synagogue, and Chazan Jonny Turgel of Stanmore and Canons Park Synagogue, both of whom continuously performed throughout the event.

At the conclusion of the Concert, Neil's brother, Richard, expressed a special vote of thanks to the Lodge for it's sponsorship of the event, and for dedicating the proceeds of our Alms Collections at the December 2016 and each of the 2017 Meetings to support the Carmiel Children's Village
